1963: Ron Hunt hits a run-scoring single in the eighth inning to give the Mets a 3-2 win over the Reds at Cincinnati.

1967: The Mets play a doubleheader against the Reds at Shea Stadium. After losing the first game by the score of 3-0, the Mets win the nightcap, 5-4. The victory in Game 2 ends the Mets' five-game losing streak in games started by Tom Seaver.

1969: The Mets defeat the Cubs, 3-2, in the opener of a critical two-game series at Shea Stadium. Jerry Koosman records thirteen strikeouts and Tommie Agee hits a two-run homer.

1976: Lee Mazzilli hits a three-run homer in his second major league at bat in an 11-5 Mets win over the Cubs at Chicago.

1979: The Mets defeat the Pirates, 3-2, in 15 innings. John Stearns' single scores Lee Mazzilli with the winning run. Ed Kranepool hits the last home run of his career.

1981: Ed Lynch and Neil Allen combine for a six-hitter in a 3-1 Mets win over the Pirates at Pittsburgh.

1982: The Mets defeat the Pirates, 9-1, at Pittsburgh. Rick Ownbey records his first major league win and Ron Hodges hits a grand slam.

1985: Mookie Wilson hits a home run in the 14th inning to give the Mets a 4-3 win over the Dodgers at Los Angeles.

1990: The Mets pound out a total of twelve hits in a 12-2 win over the Phillies at Philadelphia.

1995: Bobby Jones pitches a three-hit shutout in a 5-0 Mets win over the Expos at Montreal.

2001: The Mets extend their winning streak to six games with a 9-7 victory over the Marlins at Florida.

2013: Justin Turner homers and Eric Young hits a run-scoring double in a 2-1 Mets win over the Indians at Cleveland.

2014: The Mets score two runs in the ninth inning for a 3-2 win over the Rockies at Citi Field.

2015: The Mets rebound from a six-run deficit and defeat the Nationals, 8-7, at Washington.
