1963: The Mets score three runs in the first inning and defeat the Reds, 5-4, at Cincinnati.

1966: Dennis Ribant pitches a complete game six-hitter in a 3-2 Mets victory over the Reds at Shea Stadium. The win is Ribant's eleventh of the season and final one as a Met.

1971: Tom Seaver strikes out twelve batters and pitches a two-hit shutout in a 7-0 Mets win over the Expos at Montreal. Seaver also hits a two-run single and scores two runs in the game.

1983: Ron Darling makes his major league debut. He strikes out six batters in six and one-third innings, but gets tagged with the loss as the Phillies defeat the Mets, 2-0, at Shea Stadium.

1985: Darryl Strawberry hits a two-run double in the 13th inning for a 2-0 Mets win over the Dodgers at Los Angeles.

1986: Gary Carter hits two home runs in a 4-3 Mets win over the Padres at Shea Stadium.

1999: Kenny Rogers pitches his only shutout as a Met with a 3-0 win over the Giants on Labor Day at Shea Stadium.

2006: The Mets sweep a doubleheader with 4-1 and 8-0 wins over the Braves at Shea Stadium.

2011: The Mets score three runs in the 12th inning for a 7-4 win over the Marlins at Florida.
