1963: The Mets defeat the Houston Colt .45s, 10-3. The Colts use nine rookies in their starting lineup.

1969: Tom Seaver pitches a three-hit shutout for his 25th win over the season as the Mets defeat the Phillies, 1-0, at Philadelphia.

1976: John Milner becomes the first Met ever to hit three grand slams in a season in the team's rain-shortened 10-3 win over the Expos at Shea Stadium.

1977: Nino Espinosa pitches a complete game as the Mets defeat the Pirates, 7-1, at Pittsburgh.

1981: Mike Scott and Neil Allen team up for a seven-hitter in a 2-1 Mets win over the Expos at Montreal.

1982: Scott Holman pitches a complete game and singles to drive in the winning run in a 4-1 Mets victory over the Pirates at Shea Stadium.

1986: The Mets score twice in the 11th inning for a 4-2 win over the Pirates at Pittsburgh. Doug Sisk records his only save of the season.

1990: The Mets complete a three-game series sweep with a 6-0 win over the Expos at Montreal.

1995: The Mets sweep a doubleheader (the team's only one of the season) against the Reds, 5-4 and 9-2, at Shea Stadium. In the first game of the twinbill, Robert Person records his first major league win and gets two singles.

1997: Alberto Castillo hits a run-scoring double in the ninth inning to give the Mets a 2-1 win over the Braves at Shea Stadium.

2001: The Mets pound out ten doubles among their 19 hits in a 12-6 win over the Expos at Montreal.

2003: The Mets score seven runs in the seventh inning and defeat the Marlins, 9-3, at Florida.

2008: Johan Santana pitches a 2-0 shutout over the Marlins. It is the Mets' last win ever at Shea Stadium.

2009: Pat Misch pitches his first complete game shutout against the Florida Marlins. It is also the Mets' first complete game shutout of the year.

2012: R. A. Dickey wins his 20th game of the season in a 6-5 Mets victory over the Pirates at Citi Field.

2014: Lucas Duda hits a two-run homer with two outs in the ninth inning for a 2-1 Mets win over the Astros at Citi Field.
