1969: The Mets clinch the National League East Division title with a 6-0 win over the Cardinals at Shea Stadium.

1972: The Mets defeat the Phillies, 2-1, in their final home game of the season. Tommie Agee hits his last home run as a Met.

1976: Billy Baldwin hits a home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Mets a 4-3 win over the Cubs at Shea Stadium.

1983: Tom Seaver records his final win as a Mets pitcher in the team's 7-6 victory over the Cubs at Chicago.

1996: Bobby Jones pitches a four-hitter as the Mets defeat the Astros, 4-0, at Houston. It is Jones' only shutout of the season.

1997: The Mets score six runs in the sixth inning and defeat the Pirates, 7-5, at Shea Stadium.

2000: Armando Benitez becomes the first Mets reliever to reach 40 saves in a season in a 3-2 win over the Phillies at Philadelphia.

2003: The Mets defeat the Pirates, 5-3, at Shea Stadium. The game is Bob Murphy's last one after 42 years as a Mets' broadcaster.

2005: David Wright hits a grand slam in the first inning of a 5-2 Mets win over the Nationals at Washington.

2011: The Mets sweep a doubleheader with 2-1 and 6-3 wins over the Phillies at Citi Field.

2013: The Mets score four runs in the second inning and defeat the Reds, 4-2, at Cincinnati.
