1964: Galen Cisco and Willard Hunter pitch a combined six-hitter in a 2-1 Mets win over the Cardinals at Shea Stadium.
1967: The Mets defeat the Astros, 1-0, on Tom Seaver's three-hit shutout at Shea Stadium. A single by Jerry Buchek in the ninth inning scores Bud Harrelson with the winning run. It is the second consecutive game that ends with a hit by Buchek for a Mets win.
1969: Bud Harrelson singles home the winning run in the 11th inning for a 3-2 Mets victory over the Cardinals at Shea Stadium. The triumph clinches a tie for the National League East Division title.
1970: Donn Clendenon hits a two-run homer in the eighth inning for a 5-4 Mets win over the Phillies. In the ninth, Tug McGraw strikes out the side in order to close out the Mets' final game ever at Philadelphia's Connie Mack Stadium.
1973: The Mets defeat the Cardinals, 5-2, to complete a sweep of a two-game series at Shea Stadium.
1987: Gary Carter singles four times and drives in three runs in the Mets' 4-3 win over the Expos at Shea Stadium.
1990: The Mets defeat the Cubs, 7-3, at Chicago's Wrigley Field. Darryl Strawberry hits his 252nd and final home run as a Met.
2003: The Mets end their second eight-game losing streak of the month with a 1-0 win over the Pirates at Shea Stadium.
2004: The Mets defeat the Expos, 4-2, in their final game ever at Montreal's Olympic Stadium.
2005: Carlos Beltran hits a three-run homer in the 10th inning to give the Mets a 5-2 win over the Nationals at Washington.
2006: The Mets collect seventeen hits in a 12-6 win over the Nationals at Shea Stadium.
2007: David Wright hits a run-scoring single in the 11th inning for a 7-6 Mets win over the Marlins at Florida.
2008: On the 100th anniversary on the famous Fred Merkle Boner, the Mets defeat the Cubs, 6-2, at Shea Stadium.
2012: Ruben Tejada singles home the winning run in the ninth inning to give the Mets a 3-2 victory over the Marlins at Citi Field. The triumph completes a three-game series sweep for the Mets.
