1965: The Mets score four runs in the first inning and defeat the Cubs, 8-6, at Chicago.

1966: Bob Shaw pitches a four-hit shutout in a 1-0 Mets win over the Astros in 10 innings at Houston.

1967: Les Rohr records the win in his major league debut in the Mets' 6-3 victory over the Dodgers at Shea Stadium.

1969: The Mets lose both games of a doubleheader to the Pirates, 8-2 and 8-0. Bob Johnson pitches two-thirds of an inning for the Mets in his major league debut in the opener. In the nightcap, Jesse Hudson pitches the final two innings in his only major league appearance.

1981: Hubie Brooks and Dave Kingman hit home runs for a combined five RBIs in a 6-2 Mets win over the Cardinals at Shea Stadium.
