1962: The Mets score eight runs in the first four innings and defeat the Reds, 8-2, at the Polo Grounds.

1964: The Mets defeat the Giants, 4-0, at San Francisco. Tracy Stallard strikes out ten batters and pitches a five-hit shutout.

1965: Ron Hunt hits a home run and John Stephenson homers twice in a 7-3 Mets win over the Reds at Shea Stadium.

1966: The Mets score three runs in the ninth inning to defeat the Giants, 5-4, at San Francisco.

1974: The Mets and Expos split a doubleheader at Montreal. In the second game, Randy Sterling records his only major league win in the Mets' 3-2 victory.

1975: The Mets defeat the Expos, 4-3, in 18 innings at Shea Stadium.

1976: Jerry Koosman wins his 20th game of the season in the Mets' 4-1 victory over the Cardinals.

1979: Pete Falcone and Neil Allen combine for a shutout in a 3-0 Mets win over the Pirates at Pittsburgh.

1981: The Mets and Phillies split a doubleheader at Shea Stadium. The Phils win the opener, 3-1, and the Mets take the nightcap, 5-4. John Stearns's only home run of the season puts the Mets ahead to stay in the second game.

1984: The Mets defeat the Cubs, 9-3, at Chicago. It is the team's only win at Wrigley Field for the season.

1985: Dwight Gooden ties the Mets record with his seventh shutout of the season in a 9-0 win over the Phillies at Shea Stadium.

1986: The Mets defeat the Cardinals, 4-2, at St. Louis to clinch a tie for the National League East Division title.

1987: Dwight Gooden pitches a 10-0 shutout over the Expos at Montreal. Len Dykstra hits a grand slam in the game.

1988: Gregg Jefferies hits a run-scoring single in the ninth inning for a 4-3 Mets win over the Expos at Shea Stadium.

1995: The Mets withstand a Phillies comeback effort and come away with a 10-8 win at Shea Stadium.

1998: The Mets defeat the Astros, 4-3, in 11 innings at the Houston Astrodome. Mike Piazza hits a three-run homer in the ninth inning. Todd Hundley drives in the winning run in the 11th with his last home run as a Met.

2005: Pedro Martinez strikes out ten batters and pitches a shutout in a 4-0 Mets win over the Braves at Shea Stadium.

2010: The Mets complete a four-game series sweep with a 6-2 win over the Pirates at Citi Field. Winning pitcher Mike Pelfrey drive in the winning run.

2011: The Mets collect 20 hits in a 12-2 win over the Braves in Atlanta.

2014: Wilmer Flores drives in six runs in a 9-1 Mets win over the Marlins at Citi Field.
