1969: The Mets overcome Steve Carlton's 19 strikeouts to defeat the Cardinals, 4-3, in St. Louis. Ron Swoboda drive in all four runs with two homers off Carlton.

1975: Mike Vail ties Cleon Jones' team record 23-game hitting streak in the Mets' 3-2 win over the Expos.

1978: Dan Norman drives in three runs with two homers and a sacrifice fly in a 5-4 Mets win over the Phillies in 10 innings at Philadelphia.

1990: John Franco records his 33rd save of the season in a 4-2 Mets win over the Phillies at Shea Stadium. Franco's total leads the National League for the year.

1997: The Mets hit five home runs and score five times in the 10th inning for a 10-5 victory over the Phillies in a doubleheader opener at Philadelphia. The Phils win the nightcap, 2-1.

1999: The Mets score five runs in the last two innings for a 10-5 win over the Rockies at Colorado.

2013: Travis d'Arnaud hits a run-scoring single in the 12th inning for a 1-0 Mets win over the Marlins at Citi Field.
