1968: Jerry Koosman pitches his 7th shutout of the season with a 2-0 win over the Pirates at Shea Stadium. It is also the Mets' 67th with of the year, setting a new team high.

1969: The Mets extend their winning streak to ten games with a 5-2 victory over the Pirates at Pittsburgh. Ron Swoboda hits a tie-beaking grand slam in the eighth inning.

1973: The Mets score two runs in the 12th inning for a 4-2 win over the Phillies at Philadelphia.

1974: The Mets and Cubs split a doubleheader at Shea Stadium. In the opener, Tom Seaver pitches a shutout in a 6-0 Mets win. Chicago takes the nightcap, 4-3, in 11 innings.

1976: Tom Seaver pitches a five-hit shutout in a 5-0 Mets win over the Pirates at Pittsburgh. Seaver records twelve strikeouts in the game.

1980: Ed Lynch records his first win and Roy Lee Jackson notches hit first save as the Mets end a 13-game losing streak with a 4-2 victory over the Cubs at Shea Stadium.

1983: Walt Terrell pitches a complete game and Mike Fitzgerald homers in his first major league at bat in a 5-1 Mets win over the Phillies at Philadelphia.

1989: The Mets pound out 13 hits in a 10-4 win at Philadelphia. Dwight Gooden pitches three shutout innings in his first ever relief appearance. Bob Ojeda is the winning pitcher.

1991: Howard Johnson and Kevin McReynolds hit two-run homers in a 4-2 Mets win over the Cardinals in 10 innings at St. Louis.

1997: Carl Everett hits a grand slam with two out in the ninth inning to cap a game-tying, six-run rally. Bernard Gilkey then hits a three-run homer in the eleventh to give the Mets a 9-6 win over the Expos at Shea Stadium.

1998: Willie Blair pitches seven and one-third scoreless innings in a 1-0 Mets victory over the Expos at Montreal. The win is Blair's only one as a Met.

2000: The Mets defeat the Brewers, 4-1, at Shea Stadium. Robin Ventura doubles home the tying run with two outs in the ninth and Jay Payton hits a three-run homer in the 10th.

2003: The Mets end an eight-game losing streak with a 5-4 win over the Expos at Montreal.

2004: The Mets and Braves split a doubleheader at Shea Stadium. The Mets win the opener, 9-7, and Atlanta takes the nightcap, 7-1.

2006: The Mets score three runs in the 11th inning for a 7-4 win over the Marlins at Florida.

2008: The Mets and Braves split the last doubleheader ever played at Shea Stadium. Atlanta wins the opener, 3-2, and the Mets take the nightcap, 5-0. Jonathon Niese records his first major league win in the second game of the twinbill.

2010: Nick Evans hit a game-winning single in the 10th inning for a 1-0 Mets victory over the Pirates at Citi Field.

2013: Lucas Duda hits a three-run homer to lift the Mets to a 4-3 win over the Marlins at Citi Field.

2015: The Mets score three runs in the ninth inning and three in the tenth for a 10-7 comeback win over the Braves in Atlanta. The victory completes a four-game series sweep.
