1965: Dick Selma pitches a 1-0 shutout over the Milwaukee Braves at Shea Stadium. Charley Smith singles home Joe Christopher with the winning run in the 10th inning. It is the Mets' last game against the Braves as a Milwaukee team.
1969: In a doubleheader at Pittsburgh, Jerry Koosman and Don Cardwell record wins in a pair of 1-0 Mets victories over the Pirates. Both Koosman and Cardwell hit singles to drive in the only run of each game.
1970: Jim McAndrew pitches a shutout in a 3-0 Mets win over the Cardinals at Shea Stadium. In the game, Tim Foli collects his first two hits and first RBI in the major leagues.
1971: Mike Jorgensen's single in the ninth inning gives the Mets a 3-2 win over the Phillies at Shea Stadium. Winning pitcher Danny Frisella scores on Jorgensen's hit.
1982: Pete Falcone records his final win as a Met with a three-hit complete game in a 4-1 victory over the Cardinals at St. Louis.
1984: Dwight Gooden pitches a 2-0 shutout over the Pirates at Shea Stadium. Gooden strikes out 16 batters and set a new seasonal record for strikeouts by a rookie pitcher.
1985: The Mets defeat the Cardinals, 7-6, at Shea Stadium to take over sole possession of first place in the National League Eastern Division.
1988: Gary Carter hits a home run in the ninth inning for a 3-2 Mets win over the Pirates at Shea Stadium.
1993: Sid Fernandez pitches a four-hit shutout as the Mets defeat the Cubs, 5-0, at Shea Stadium. It is Sid's last complete game as a Met and the final shutout of his major league career.
1999: The Mets score eight runs from the sixth inning to the ninth and defeat the Dodgers, 10-3, at Los Angeles.
2002: Jason Middlebrook records his only win as a Met in an 8-2 victory over the Expos at Montreal.
2006: The Mets come back from a four-run deficit for a 6-4 win over the Marlins at Florida.
2007: Shawn Green's run-scoring single in the eighth inning gives the Mets a 4-3 victory over the Braves at Shea Stadium. The win extends the Mets' lead in the National League East Division to seven games.
2009: David Wright drives in six runs with a single and two home runs in a 10-9 Mets win over the Phillies at Philadelphia.
2014: Travis d'Arnaud and Juan Lagares hit key RBI doubles in a 4-3 Mets win over the Nationals at Citi Field.
