1974: The Mets lose to the Cardinals, 4-3, in 25 innings at Shea Stadium.
1990: The Mets defeat the Cardinals, 10-8, on Darryl Strawberry's two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth inning.
2005: The Mets end a six-game losing streak with a 7-2 win over the Cardinals. It is the Mets' final game at St. Louis's Busch Memorial Stadium.
