1963: Carl Willey pitches a complete game six-hitter in a 4-2 Mets win over the Giants at the Polo Grounds.

1969: In the first game of a doubleheader at Shea Stadium, the Mets reach first place for the first time ever with a 3-2 victory over the Expos in 12 innings. The Mets also win the nightcap, 7-1.

1970: Cleon Jones hits a triple to score Tommie Agee in the 14th inning for a 3-2 Mets win over the Phillies at Shea Stadium.

1972: Bob Rauch records his only major league save in a 3-2 Mets win over the Cardinals at Shea Stadium.

1978: The Mets complete a sweep of a three-game series with an 11-9 win over the Pirates at Shea Stadium.

1982: Dave Kingman hits an inside-the-park home run in the Mets' 2-1 win over the Cardinals at St. Louis.

2008: After squandering a six-run lead, the Mets rebound for a 13-10 win over the Nationals at Shea Stadium.

2010: Jenrry Mejia gets his first major league hit in the Mets' 8-4 loss to the Phillies.

2014: Rafael Montero records his first major league win in a 2-0 Mets victory over the Rockies at Citi Field.

2015: Kevin Plawecki and Juan Uribe drive in three runs each in a 7-2 Mets win over the Braves in Atlanta.
