1973: The Mets clinch the National League East title with a 6-4 win over the Cubs at Chicago.

1982: Terry Leach pitches a 10-inning one-hitter over the Phillies at Philadelphia. The Mets win, 1-0.

1985: The Mets defeat the Cardinals, 1-0, at St. Louis. Darryl Strawberry's home run in the 11th inning gives the Mets the win.

1989: The Mets defeat the Pirates, 7-3, at Pittsburgh to clinch second place in the National League East Division.

1995: In the season finale, Tim Bogar walks with the bases loaded in the 11th inning for a 1-0 Mets win over the Braves at Shea Stadium.

1999: The Mets defeat the Pirates, 3-2, in 11 innings at Shea Stadium.

2010: Josh Thole hits a home run in the 10th inning to give the Mets a 2-1 win over the Nationals at Citi Field.
