1969: The Mets win their 100th game of the season with a 6-5 victory over the Cubs in 12 innings at Chicago.

1972: Jerry Koosman pitches a complete game and Ted Martinez hits a three-run homer in a 7-3 Mets win over the Pirates at Pittsburgh.

1973: The Mets clinch the National League East title with a 6-4 win over the Cubs at Chicago.

1977: The Mets and Cardinals split a doubleheader in St. Louis. The Mets win the opener, 8-4, and the Cards take the second game, 4-2.

1978: The Mets close the season with a 5-3 win over the Cubs at Chicago. Butch Benton gets a pair of run-scoring singles for his two major league hits.

1982: Terry Leach pitches a 10-inning one-hitter over the Phillies at Philadelphia. The Mets win, 1-0.

1983: Brent Gaff records his first major league win in a 5-4 Mets victory over the Expos at Shea Stadium. The game is also the last one as a Met for Tom Seaver, who pitches the first inning.

1985: The Mets defeat the Cardinals, 1-0, at St. Louis. Darryl Strawberry's home run in the 11th inning gives the Mets the win.

1986: The Mets score two runs in the 10th inning for a 6-4 win over the Expos at Montreal.

1989: The Mets defeat the Pirates, 7-3, at Pittsburgh to clinch second place in the National League East Division.

1993: Dave Telgheder pitches eight scoreless innings in a 4-1 Mets win over the Marlins at Florida.

1995: In the season finale, Tim Bogar walks with the bases loaded in the 11th inning for a 1-0 Mets win over the Braves at Shea Stadium.

1999: The Mets defeat the Pirates, 3-2, in 11 innings at Shea Stadium.

2006: The Mets conclude the regular season with a 6-2 win over the Nationals at Washington.

2010: Josh Thole hits a home run in the 10th inning to give the Mets a 2-1 win over the Nationals at Citi Field.
