1965: Al Jackson records eleven strikeouts in a 2-1 Mets win over the Phillies at Shea Stadium. Yogi Berra hits a pair of singles for his only two hits as a Mets player.

1966: Jack Hamilton pitches a one-hitter to defeat the Cardinals, 8-0, in the Mets' last game at the original Busch Stadium in St. Louis.

1968: Ed Charles drives in five runs to lead the Mets to a 7-3 win over the Cubs at Shea Stadium.

1969: Mets' starters Tom Seaver and Tug McGraw pitch complete games as the Mets win both games of a doubleheader against the Cubs at Wrigley Field. The final score of each game is 3-2.

1974: The Mets score five runs in the seventh inning on home runs by Rusty Staub and John Milner to defeat the Padres, 6-3, at Shea Stadium.

1976: The Mets defeat the Reds, 5-3, at Shea Stadium. Skip Lockwood strikes out Cincinnati slugger Johnny Bench with the bases loaded in the seventh inning en route to earning a save.

1980: The Mets and Padres split a doubleheader at Shea Stadium. San Diego wins the opener, 4-3, and the Mets take the second game, 6-2.

1986: The Mets complete a sweep of a three-game series with a 7-2 win over the Reds at Cincinnati.

1988: Sid Fernandez and Terry Leach pitch a combined two-hit shutout as the Mets defeat the Astros, 8-0, at Shea Stadium.

1989: Howard Johnson hits a home run in the 10th inning to give the Mets a 3-2 win over the Reds at Shea Stadium.

1991: The Mets defeat the Giants, 6-4, in 12 innings at Shea Stadium. Back-to-back pinch-hit home runs by Mackey Sasser and Mark Carreon tie the game in the ninth. Howard Johnson's homer in the 12th wins it.

2007: The Mets defeat the Diamondbacks, 5-3, at Arizona. Julio Franco, at 48, becomes the oldest player to hit a home run and steal a base in a major league game.

2008: The Mets score three runs in the ninth inning for a 5-2 win over the Diamondbacks in Arizona.

2009: Carlos Beltran hits a pair of two-run homers and David Wright adds a two-run blast for a 6-4 Mets win over the Braves in Atlanta.

2010: Rod Barajas hits a home run in the ninth inning for a 5-4 Mets win over the Reds at Cincinnati.

2014: The Mets hit four run-scoring doubles in a 5-1 win over the Rockies at Colorado.
