1971: Tommie Agee singles to drive home the winning run in the 11th inning for a 3-2 Mets victory over the Cubs at Shea Stadium.

1981: Joel Youngblood hits a three-run homer to break a tie in the seventh inning for a 7-4 Mets victory over the Padres at Shea Stadium. The win gives the Mets a split of a doubleheader.

1982: The Mets score three runs in the 12th inning for a 6-3 win over the Dodgers at Los Angeles.

1985: Danny Heep drives in five runs and Lenny Dykstra homers in his major league debut in a 9-4 Mets win over the Reds at Cincinnati.
