1967: In the first game of a doubleheader, Bill Denehy records his only major league win in a 6-3 Mets victory over the Braves at Shea Stadium. Atlanta wins the second game, 7-3.

1969: The Mets begin an 11-game winning streak with a 1-0 victory over the Padres in 11 innings at Shea Stadium.

1980: Trailing by five runs, the Mets score six times in the eighth inning for a 6-5 win over the Cardinals at St. Louis.

1994: The Mets hit three homers in a 5-4 comeback win over the Reds at Shea Stadium.

1996: Mark Clark and Doug Henry pitch a combined five-hit shutout for a 4-0 Mets win over the Giants at Shea Stadium.

1997: Bobby Jones pitches a complete game shutout in a 7-0 Mets win over the Expos at Montreal.

2000: The Mets finish off a three-game series sweep with a 6-2 win over the Cardinals at St. Louis.

2008: Endy Chavez hits a game-tying homer in the ninth inning and Fernando Tatis hits a two-run double in the 12th for a 7-6 Mets win over the Marlins at Shea Stadium.

2013: David Wright and Lucas Duda hit consecutive RBI singles in the ninth inning for a 2-1 Mets win over the Yankees at Citi Field.

2014: Bartolo Colon and Jeurys Familia pitch a combined shutout in a 5-0 Mets win over the Pirates at Citi Field. In the game, Colon fans Ike Davis for his 2,000th career strikeout and Familia singles for his first major league hit.
