1973: The Mets defeat the Dodgers, 7-3, in 19 innings at Los Angeles. The game ends at 4:42 AM on the East Coast.

1979: The Mets and Cubs split a doubleheader at Shea Stadium. Chicago wins the opener, 9-7, and the Mets take the nightcap, 4-2.
