1962: Felix Mantilla's run-scoring single in the 11th inning gives the Mets a 6-5 win over the Cubs at the Polo Grounds.

1965: The Mets sweep a doubleheader with 6-2 and 8-5 wins over the Reds at Shea Stadium.

1968: Tommie Agee hits a run-scoring single in the ninth inning for a 2-1 Mets win over the Reds at Shea Stadium.

1970: Jerry Koosman pitches a four-hit shutout in a 6-0 Mets win over the Phillies at Philadelphia.

1972: Chuck Taylor pitches three and two-thirds scoreless innings for a save as the Mets defeat the Expos, 7-3, at Shea Stadium.

1980: Neil Allen records four strikeouts in three innings of scoreless relief for a save in a 5-3 Mets win over the Braves in Atlanta.

1982: The Mets score nine runs in the sixth inning of a 13-4 win over the Dodgers at Shea Stadium.

1983: Darryl Strawberry hits his first major league home run in an 11-4 Mets win over the Pirates at Pittsburgh.

1988: Gary Carter hits a three-run homer in the seventh inning to give the Mets a 7-4 win over the Padres in San Diego.

1995: Bobby Jones and Doug Henry combine on a three-hitter in a 1-0 Mets win over the Astros at Houston.

1996: The Mets collect twelve hits in a 6-3 win over the Padres at San Diego.

2004: Mike Piazza hits a two-run homer in the ninth inning and Jason Phillips homers in the 13th for a 3-2 Mets win over the Astros at Houston.

2009: The Mets defeat the Giants, 9-6, at San Francisco. In the first inning, the Mets' first four batters (Luis Castillo, Alex Cora, Carlos Beltran and Gary Sheffield) get base hits off Giants' pitcher Randy Johnson. It is the first time that Johnson had ever given up four hits to start a game in his 20-year career.

2013: The Mets end a six-game losing streak with a 5-2 win over the Cardinals at St. Louis.

2015: The Mets score ten runs in the fourth inning and defeat the Brewers, 14-1, at Citi Field.
