1962: The Mets sweep a doubleheader from the Braves, 3-2 and 8-7, at the Polo Grounds. Hobie Landrith and Gil Hodges hit ninth inning home runs to win each game. Craig Anderson is the winning pitcher in both games. It is the Mets' first doubleheader sweep ever.
1963: The Mets and Reds split a doubleheader at the Polo Grounds. The Reds win the opener, 3-0, and the Mets take the nightcap, 13-12.
1965: Jack Fisher pitches a five-hitter in a 2-1 Mets win over the Cardinals at Shea Stadium. Joe Christopher and Bobby Klaus hit doubles to drive home the Mets' runs.
1968: Dick Selma pitches a five-hit shutout and singles three times in a 10-0 Mets win over the Cubs at Chicago. The victory gives the Mets a split of a doubleheader.
1972: Ken Boswell's run-scoring double in the eighth inning and Jerry Grote's RBI single in the ninth lift the Mets to a 2-1 victory over the Giants at Shea Stadium. It is the start of an 11-game winning streak for the Mets.
1973: Tom Seaver hurls a two-hit shutout in a 6-0 Mets win over the Pirates at Pittsburgh.
1975: On Yogi Berra's 50th birthday, the Mets come away with a 3-2 win over the Giants at Shea Stadium. Joe Torre drives in all the Mets' runs with a bases-loaded double.
1976: Dave Kingman collects four hits for eleven total bases and drives in three runs in a 6-3 Mets win over the Braves in Atlanta.
1984: Doug Sisk pitches four innings of one-hit scoreless relief for a save in a 4-3 Mets win over the Dodgers at Los Angeles.
1985: The Mets complete a three-game series sweep with a 3-2 win over the Phillies at Shea Stadium.
1986: Tim Teufel singles home Ray Knight in the ninth inning to give the Mets a 1-0 win over the Braves at Shea Stadium.
1990: Frank Viola beats the Dodgers, 7-0, with a four-hit shutout. He becomes the first Met pitcher ever to win his first seven starts of the season.
1991: Dave Magadan and Chris Donnels hit run-scoring singles in the 11th inning to give the Mets a 4-2 win over the Giants at San Francisco.
1992: Eddie Murray hits a two-run homer in the first inning to ignite the Mets to a 7-3 win over the Padres at Shea Stadium.
1999: The Mets score three runs in each of the first two innings and defeat the Rockies, 10-5, at Colorado.
2004: The Mets defeat the Arizona Diamondbacks, 1-0, in Phoenix. Kazuo Matsui's leadoff homer in the first inning is the only run of the game.
2009: The Mets erase a three-run deficit and defeat the Braves, 4-3, in 10 innings at Citi Field.
2011: Carlos Beltran hits three two-run homers in a 9-5 Mets win over the Rockies at Colorado. Each of Beltran's home runs comes with Willie Harris on base.
2012: The Mets defeat the Marlins, 9-3, for their first win ever at Marlins Park in Miami.
2014: The Mets hit four home runs in a 9-7 win over the Yankees in the Bronx.
