Kevin Plawecki is a catcher for the Mets. He joined the team in 2015.

Plawecki was drafted by the Mets out of Purdue University in 2012. In his major league debut in '15, he singled and scored twice each in a 7-1 Mets win over the Braves at Citi Field on April 21. Kevin had a two-run homer and a run-scoring single in the Mets' 8-2 victory over the Yankees in the Bronx on April 25. He doubled to drive in two runs in a 3-2 Mets triumph over the Orioles on May 5 at Citi Field. Plawecki slugged a homer in the Mets' 14-1 rout of the Brewers on May 16 at Citi Field. At Arizona on June 4, he hit a two-run double to put the Mets ahead to stay in a 6-2 win over the Diamondbacks. Kevin hit a sacrifice fly in the ninth inning to give the Mets a 2-1 triumph over the Dodgers at Los Angeles on July 3. He had a run-scoring single in the 13th inning of the Mets' 3-1 victory over the Cardinals in 18 innings at St. Louis on July 19. Plawecki had a double and three RBIs in a 7-2 Mets win over the Braves in Atlanta on September 10.
