1968: The Mets get six hits in the eighth and ninth innings to break up a scoreless game and defeat the Giants, 4-0.

1969: Jerry Koosman records eleven strikeouts in a 4-1 Mets win over the Padres at San Diego.

1977: Tom Seaver pitches a five-hit shutout in an 8-0 Mets win over the Reds at Shea Stadium. It is Seaver's last game at Shea before his trade to the Cincinnati team.

1980: The Mets score two runs in the 11th inning to pull out a 6-5 win over the Pirates at Shea Stadium.

1981: The Mets defeat the Astros, 3-1, in Houston. It is Mike Scott's only career win at the Astrodome as a visiting pitcher.

1987: Lee Mazzilli hits a 2-run double in the tenth inning to give the Mets a 5-4 win over the Pirates in the first game of a doubleheader at Shea Stadium.

2005: Pedro Martinez pitches a two-hitter in a 3-1 Mets win over the Astros at Shea Stadium.

2006: The Mets defeat the Dodgers, 9-7, in a series finale at Los Angeles.

2009: Livan Hernandez and three relievers team up for a shutout in a 7-0 Mets win over the Nationals at Washington.

2015: The Mets hit four home runs in a 6-3 win over the Diamondbacks at Arizona.
