The Mets faced the Brewers on a Thursday afternoon in Milwaukee. The teams played the finale of a three-game series. The Mets ended a seven-game losing streak with a 2-0 win.

Brewers' starter Taylor Jungmann yielded only a single to Curtis Granderson in the top of the first inning. The Mets' Jacob deGrom set down the side in order in the bottom half and Michael Cuddyer drew a walk to open the top of the second. Wilmer Flores flied out to center fielder Gerardo Parra and a single by Darrell Ceciliani ensued. Kevin Plawecki hit a single on which Cuddyer was out at home via a throw by Parra to catcher Jonathan Lucroy. DeGrom then took a called third strike and hurled a perfect bottom of the inning.

Both Jungmann and deGrom continued to pitch scoreless ball from the third inning to the fifth. Cuddyer singled against Milwaukee reliever Michael Blazek with two outs in the top of the sixth. Flores followed with a double to drive home Cuddyer for a 1-0 Mets lead. On his own hit, Wilmer advanced to third base via an error by shortstop Jean Segura. Blazek struck out Ceciliani to end the inning. DeGrom then retired all three batters in the bottom half.

DeGrom got a one-out single against Brewers' reliever Jonathan Broxton in the top of the seventh. Dilson Herrera singled and a single by Granderson loaded the bases. Ruben Tejada went down on strikes and Lucas Duda singled against Milwaukee's Will Smith to plate deGrom with the Mets' second run. Smith retired Cuddyer on an inning-ending line drive to first baseman Adam Lind. DeGrom then shut down the Brew Crew in the bottom half.

Milwaukee reliever Corey Knebel pitched a perfect top of the eighth. DeGrom gave up just a single to Scooter Gennett in the bottom of the inning and Knebel set down the side 1-2-3 once again in the top of the ninth. The Mets' Jeurys Familia retired Parra on a ground ball to shortstop Flores to open the bottom half. Lucroy also grounded out to Flores. Familia then struck out Ryan Braun to end the game. The Mets had a victory to bring their skid to a halt.
