1962: The Mets defeat the Colt .45s, 3-1, at Houston. It is the team's first win over their expansion brethren.

1966: The Mets and Reds split a doubleheader at Shea Stadium. The Mets win the opener, 4-0, and Cincinnati takes the nightcap, 5-2, in 10 innings.

1968: Dick Selma pitches a five-hit shutout in a 3-0 Mets win over the Dodgers at Los Angeles.

1977: The Mets and Astros split a doubleheader at the Astrodome. Houston wins the first game, 4-1, and the Mets take the nightcap with a 6-4 victory in 10 innings.

1980: Mike Jorgensen hits a grand slam in the tenth inning to give the Mets a 6-2 win over the Dodgers at Shea Stadium.

1985: The Mets lose to the Phillies, 26-7, at Veterans Stadium.

2005: Marlon Anderson hits an inside-the-park home run against Angels' closer Francisco Rodriguez to tie the game in the ninth inning. Cliff Floyd hits a three-run homer in the tenth off Brendan Donnelly to give the Mets a 5-3 win.

2006: The Mets complete a four-game series sweep with a 15-2 win over the Diamondbacks at Arizona.

2008: Carlos Beltran hits a two-run homer in the 13th inning to give the Mets a 5-3 win over the Diamondbacks.

2010: Chris Carter hits his first major league home run off the Orioles' Jeremy Guthrie.

2015: Michael Cuddyer hits a run-scoring single in the ninth inning for a 5-4 Mets win over the Giants at Citi Field.
