1962: The Mets and Cubs split a doubleheader at Wrigley Field. The Mets win the opener, 2-1, and Chicago takes the second game, 5-4, in 10 innings.

1963: Tracy Stallard hurls a complete game in a 3-2 Mets victory over the Reds at the Polo Grounds. It is Stallard's first win as a Mets pitcher.

1964: The Mets collect fourteen hits in an 8-3 win over the Cubs at Shea Stadium.

1966: Dick Rusteck pitches a four-hit shutout in his major league debut. The Mets defeat the Reds, 5-0, at Shea Stadium.

1968: Tom Seaver pitches a four-hit shutout as the Mets defeat the Dodgers, 1-0, in 10 innings at Los Angeles.

1969: The Mets defeat the Giants, 9-4, at San Francisco for their 11th consecutive win.

1972: The Mets score four runs in the fourth inning in a 5-3 win over the Astros at Shea Stadium.

1975: Tom Seaver picthes a shutout in a 5-0 Mets win over the Giants at San Francisco.

1976: Jon Matlack pitches a shutout in a 6-0 Mets win over the Padres at San Diego.

1983: Dave Kingman hits a two-run homer in the 17th inning to give the Mets a 4-2 win over the Expos at Shea Stadium.

1986: Tim Teufel hits a grand slam in the 11th inning, giving the Mets an 8-4 win over the Phillies.

1996: Todd Hundley drives in five runs in an 8-3 Mets win over the Braves at Shea Stadium.

2001: Kevin Appier and two relievers team up for a shutout in a 10-0 Mets win over the Tampa Bay Devil Rays at St. Petersburg, Florida.

2002: Pedro Astacio and three relievers team up for a six-hitter in a 3-1 Mets win over the White Sox at Chicago.

2003: Jose Reyes plays his first major league game. Jose goes 2-for-4 and scores twice. The Mets lose to the Texas Rangers, 9-7.

2006: Alay Soler pitches a two-hit shutout as the Mets defeat the Diamondbacks, 5-0, in Arizona. It is Soler's only shutout and complete game of his major league career.

2010: Jesus Feliciano makes his major league debut for the Mets. Also, Jonathon Niese pitches a one-hit shutout over the Padres for a 3-0 win in the second game of a doubleheader at Citi Field.

2014: Daniel Murphy hits a two-run homer and Taylor Teagarden hits a grand slam for all the Mets' scoring in a 6-2 win over the Brewers at Citi Field.
