Jeurys Familia is a pitcher for the Mets. He joined the team in 2012.

Familia had spent five seasons in the Mets’ minor league system before his call up to the parent club. In ’12, he made his major league debut by pitching a scoreless eighth inning in the Mets’ 5-1 defeat to the Cardinals at St. Louis on September 4.
