Jeremy Hefner is a pitcher for the Mets. He joined the team in 2012. Hefner had pitched four seasons in the Padres’ minor league system before coming to the Mets.

In ’12, Hefner made his major league debut on April 23. In the first game of a doubleheader at Citi Field, he pitched three scoreless innings in a 6-1 Mets defeat to the Giants. Jeremy recorded his first win and hit a home run in the Mets' 6-3 victory over the Phillies on May 29 at Citi Field. He pitched seven scoreless innings for the win in a 6-0 Mets victory over the Pirates at Citi Field on September 26. Jeremy also hurled seven and one-third innings for the win in a 4-2 Mets triumph over the Marlins in the season finale at Miami on October 3.

In 2013, Hefner recorded the win in a 9-4 Mets victory over the Yankees on May 29, the first anniversary of his home run. He hurled six innings for the win in a 4-3 Mets triumph over the Phillies on June 21 at Philadelphia. Jeremy pitched seven innings and got the win in a 9-1 Mets victory over the Diamondbacks at Citi Field on July 2. He recorded eight strikeouts in seven innings for the win in the Mets' 2-1 triumph over the Brewers at Milwaukee on July 7.
