Sent: Gary Kroll
Received: Johnny Weekly

On the sixth day of 1966, the Mets made a trade with the Houston Astros. The team dealt pitcher Gary Kroll for outfielder Johnny Weekly. Kroll was a member of the Mets' pitching staff over the previous two seasons. Weekly had played in 53 games for the Houston Colt .45s before spending the 1965 season (the team's first as the Astros) in the minor leagues.

Weekly never appeared in a game for the Mets - or for any other professional team - after the deal. Kroll appeared in 10 games in relief for the Astros in '66 and was sold to the Cleveland Indians in 1967.
