Dave Roberts was a pitcher for the Mets in 1981. He made four starts and three relief appearances with the team. Roberts had ten strikeouts in 15 and one-third innings pitched as a Met.

Roberts pitched in the major leagues for twelve seasons before joining the Mets as a free agent. In '81, he made his debut with the team in a 5-3 loss to the Expos on April 18 at Shea Stadium. Dave was the starting and losing pitcher in a 9-0 Mets defeat at Los Angeles in his final major league game on May 16.

Roberts was released by the Mets on May 27. He completed the '81 season with the Giants' AAA-level team in Phoenix to conclude his career.
