1976: Jerry Koosman pitches a four-hit shutout in a 4-0 Mets win over the Expos at Shea Stadium.
1978: John Stearns and Joel Youngblood drive in three runs each in an 8-3 Mets win over the Cardinals at St. Louis.
1979: In his first game as a Met, Jose Cardenal hits two doubles and drives in a run in the team's 3-2 win over the Expos at Montreal.
1980: The Mets and Expos split a doubleheader at Montreal. The final score of each game is 4-3.
1982: The Mets defeat the Cubs at Wrigley Field, 7-4. Craig Swan hits his only major league home run and Joel Youngblood puts the Mets ahead to stay with a two-run single. Before the game ends, Youngblood is traded to the Expos and gets a hit for his new team in Philadelphia that night.
1985: The Mets defeat the Cubs, 4-1, at Chicago. Dwight Gooden sets a new team seasonal record with his 11th consecutive winning decision.
1998: Lenny Harris walks with the bases loaded in the 10th inning for a 7-6 Mets win over the Giants at Shea Stadium.
2001: The Mets defeat the Diamondbacks, 4-2, at Arizona.
2004: The Mets score five runs in the seventh inning of a 6-5 win over the Brewers at Milwaukee.
2015: The Mets score four runs in the eighth inning for a 5-1 win over the Marlins at Miami.
