1969: The Mets and Giants split a doubleheader at San Francisco. Tom Seaver pitches a shutout in an 8-0 Mets win in the opener. The Giants take the second game, 3-2, in 11 innings.

1973: The Mets defeat the Cardinals, 6-4, in 10 innings at St. Louis. The win lifts the Mets out of last place in the National League East Division.

1974: The Mets defeat the Braves, 6-5, at Shea Stadium. Rusty Staub's two-run single in the eighth inning is game-winner.

1983: Mike Torrez pitches an eight-hitter in a 7-1 Mets win over the Dodgers at Shea Stadium. It is the last complete game of Torrez's career.

1987: Howard Johnson hits a home run in the 10th inning for a 6-5 Mets win over the Padres at San Diego.

1990: The Mets score three runs with two outs in the ninth inning to pull out a 4-3 win over the Giants at Shea Stadium.

1991: After trailing 6-1, the Mets come back for an 8-7 win in 10 innings over the Reds at Cincinnati.

1996: The Mets end an eight-game losing streak with a 7-2 win over the Giants at Shea Stadium.

2008: Nick Evans hits his first major league home run in a 6-2 Mets win over the Marlins at Florida.

2012: R.A. Dickey pitches a shutout and Ike Davis drives in three runs in a 3-0 Mets win over the Marlins at Miami.

2013: The Mets pound out seventeen hits in an 11-3 win over the Nationals at Washington.

2014: Anthony Recker hits a three-run homer and Dilson Herrera gets his first RBI in the major leagues as the Mets defeat the Phillies, 6-5, at Citi Field.

2015: Bartolo Colon pitches eight scoreless innings with nine strikeouts in a 3-1 Mets win over the Phillies at Citi Field.
