1968: Dick Selma pitches a shutout and Tommie Agee drives in three runs in a 4-0 Mets win over the Cardinals at St. Louis.

1972: The Mets hit four doubles and four home runs in a 13-6 win over the Braves at Atlanta.

1973: Tug McGraw records four strikeouts in relief for a save in a 6-5 Mets win over the Padres at Shea Stadium.

1974: In the Mets' 4-2 win over the Astros at Shea Stadium, Benny Ayala becomes the first player in team history ever to hit a home run in his first at bat in the major leagues.

1975: Tom Seaver pitches a shutout in a 7-0 Mets win over the Padres at San Diego.

1979: In the completion of a suspended game from June 17, the Mets defeat the Braves, 2-1, on Alex Trevino's run-scoring single in the bottom of the ninth inning. Jeff Reardon records his first major league win despite most of the game being played while he was in the minor leagues.

1981: The Mets score twice in the eighth inning for a 3-2 win over the Astros at Shea Stadium.

1983: Darryl Strawberry hits two home runs in a 6-3 Mets win over the Giants at Shea Stadium.

1986: The Mets defeat the Padres, 6-5, in 11 innings. The game ends on a double play in which Len Dykstra throws out the tying run at the plate and catcher John Gibbons then throws out the runner going to third.

1997: The Mets score eight runs in the seventh inning in a 15-6 win over the Giants at Shea Stadium.

2002: The Mets won their third consecutive game by defeating the Marlins, 10-5, at Florida.

2004: The Mets score six runs in the first inning in a 9-2 win over the Dodgers at Shea Stadium.

2013: Jonathon Niese pitches a three-hit shutout and hits a three-run double in a 5-0 Mets win over the Phillies at Citi Field.

2015: The Mets rebound from a five-run deficit and defeat the Phillies, 9-5, in 13 innings.
