1964: The Mets sweep a doubleheader with 2-1 (in 10 innings) and 5-4 wins over the Cubs at Shea Stadium. Willard Hunter in the winning pitcher in both games.

1969: Jerry Grote hits a run-scoring double in the ninth inning for a 3-2 Mets win over the Dodgers at Shea Stadium.

1970: The Mets score three runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to defeat the Reds, 5-4, in the first game of a doubleheader at Shea Stadium. The Reds win the second game, 7-5.

1977: Lenny Randle singles home the winning run in the ninth inning to give the Mets a 2-1 victory over the Astros at Shea Stadium.

1981: The Mets defeat the Reds, 3-2, in 10 innings at Cincinnati. Bob Bailor drives in the winning run with a sacrifice fly.

1983: The Mets defeat the Padres, 8-3, at San Diego. Walt Terrell pitches a complete game and gets three hits, one of which is a three-run homer.

1997: The Mets hit four home runs in a 9-5 win over the Padres at Shea Stadium.

1999: Matt Franco hits a run-scoring single in the ninth inning for a 3-2 Mets win over the Astros at Shea Stadium.

2003: Steve Trachsel and two relief pitchers team up for a shutout in a 4-0 Mets win over the Dodgers at Los Angeles.

2005: The Mets get a total of 17 hits in a 14-1 win over the Diamondbacks at Arizona.

2009: The Mets lose to the Phillies, 9-7, at Citi Field. Jeff Francoeur hits into an unassisted triple play turned by the Phils' Eric Bruntlett to end the game.
