1966: The Mets defeat the Pirates, 9-5, at Shea Stadium. Rob Gardner is the winning pitcher despite allowing four home runs.

1971: Ken Singleton hits a run-scoring single in the 10th inning for a 3-2 Mets win over the Dodgers at Los Angeles.

1973: The Mets collect 16 hits in a 12-1 win over the Reds at Shea Stadium. Don Hahn hits a three-run homer and John Milner hits a grand slam.

1981: The Mets defeat the Braves, 4-0, at Atlanta. Ed Lynch and Neil Allen combine for a six-hit shutout. Dave Kingman drives in three runs with a double and two homers.
