1972: The Mets and Phillies split a doubleheader at Shea Stadium. In the opener, Cleon Jones drive in the winning run with a single in the 18th inning for a 3-2 Mets victory. The Phils with the nightcap, 4-1, on Bill Robinson's three-run double in the top of the ninth.
1973: The Mets record their first doubleheader sweep of the season with 3-0 and 5-2 wins over the Pirates at Shea Stadium.
1977: The Mets come from behind three times to pull out an 8-7 win over the Dodgers in 12 innings at Shea Stadium.
1978: The Mets defeat the Phillies, 5-1, at Philadelphia. Kevin Kobel pitches four and two-thirds innings of scoreless relief to get the win. John Stearns and Joel Youngblood hit home runs off Steve Carlton.
1980: The Mets come back from four runs behind for a 5-4 win over the Astros at Shea Stadium.
1987: Terry Leach wins his ninth straight game and Howard Johnson hits a grand slam in a 12-4 Mets victory over the Expos at Montreal.
1989: Kevin McReynolds hits for the cycle in the Mets' 11-0 win over the Cardinals in St. Louis. Sid Fernandez pitches a 4-hit shutout.
1990: The Mets come back from three runs behind and defeat the Expos, 6-4, in 12 innings at Montreal. Tim Teufel homers with two outs in the ninth to tie the game. The win puts the Mets into sole possession of first place in the National League East.
1992: The Mets split a doubleheader with the Cubs with a 3-0 win in the opener and a 6-1 loss in the nightcap. In Game 1, three Mets pitchers combine on a shutout victory over eventual Cy Young winner Greg Maddux.
1993: The Mets score eight runs in the last two innings for a 10-3 win over the Cardinals at St. Louis.

1998: The Mets defeat the Dodgers, 2-1, at Shea Stadium. Matt Franco's home run and Edgardo Alfonzo's double bring home the tying and winning runs in the ninth inning.
1999: The Mets defeat the Cubs, 5-4, in 13 innings at Wrigley Field. Mets' pitchers record 20 strikeouts in the game. Winning pitcher Pat Mahomes drives in the winning run with a single.
2000: Mike Hampton and tough relief pitching lead the way to a 3-2 Mets win over the Reds at Shea Stadium.
2001: The Mets score six runs in the 10th inning for an 8-2 win over the Astros at Houston.
2009: Angel Pagan hits a tie-breaking grand slam in the eighth inning to lift the Mets to a 9-6 win over the Diamondbacks at Citi Field.
2015: Lucas Duda hits two homers and a run-scoring double in a 3-2 Mets win over the Nationals at Citi Field.
