1963: Carl Willey pitches a three-hit shutout in a 2-0 Mets win over the Cubs in Chicago.

1965: Danny Napoleon hits a three-run triple with two out in the ninth inning to give the Mets a 7-6 win over the Giants at San Francisco. The win is the 3,000th for Casey Stengel as a manager in professional baseball.

1966: In the second game of a doubleheader, the Mets record their first win ever in Atlanta with a 4-3 victory over the Braves.

1976: Tom Seaver pitches a three-hitter and hits a two-run single in a 7-1 Mets win over the Astros at Houston.

1979: The Mets score four runs in the first inning and six in the seventh for a 10-3 victory over the Giants at Shea Stadium. Mike Scott records his first major league win.
