1970: Tom Seaver sets a new record with 10 consecutive batters struck out in a game. The Mets defeat the San Diego Padres, 2-1, as Seaver finishes the game with 19 strikeouts.

1973: The Mets and Expos split a doubleheader on Easter Sunday at Shea Stadium. Montreal wins the first game, 2-1, in 10 innings and the Mets take the second, 13-3.

1975: The Mets pound out thirteen hits in a 9-5 win over the Cardinals at Shea Stadium.

1978: The Mets score three runs in the seventh and eighth innings for a 3-2 comeback win over the Cubs at Chicago.

1979: The Mets come from behind to defeat the Phillies, 4-2, at Philadelphia. Jesse Orosco records his first major league win.

1985: Calvin Schiraldi records his first major league win in a 7-6 Mets victory over the Cardinals at St. Louis.

1986: Bob Ojeda and Roger McDowell team up for a four-hitter in a 7-1 Mets win over the Pirates at Shea Stadium.
