Andres Torres

Andres Torres is an outfielder for the Mets. He joined the team in a trade with the Giants on December 6, 2011. Torres had played seven seasons in the major leagues before coming to New York.

In 2012, Torres made his Mets debut in the season opener at Citi Field on April 5. He scored the only run of the game in a 1-0 Mets win over the Braves. Andres hit a two-run single in a 4-3 Mets triumph over the Diamondbacks at Citi Field on May 5. At Arizona on July 29, he had two singles and a pair of runs scored in the Mets' 5-1 victory over the Diamondbacks. Torres had two singles, a double, a stolen base and a pair of runs scored in a 6-0 Mets win over the Pirates at Citi Field on September 26. He also hit a home run in a 4-2 Mets win over the Marlins in the season closer at Miami on October 3.
