Yorkis Perez

Yorkis Perez was a pitcher for the Mets in 1997. He made nine relief appearances for the team. Perez had seven strikeouts in eight and two-thirds innings pitched as a Met.
Perez was claimed by the Mets on waivers prior to the start of the '97 season. He pitched in two games with the team before spending time at AA-level Binghamton and AAA-level Norfolk. After appearing in 29 minor league games, Yorkis returned to the Mets in August. He had a scoreless inning pitched in the team's 8-3 defeat at Chicago on September 5.
In 1998 and 1999, Perez pitched for the Phillies. He appeared in 33 games with the Astros in 2000. Yorkis pitched one year in Mexico before ending his career with the Orioles in 2002.
