Yoenis Cespedes is an outfielder for the Mets. He joined the team in 2015.

After three and one-half seasons in the American League, Cespedes came to the Mets in a trade with the Detroit Tigers. In '15, he had three doubles and four RBIs in a 12-1 Mets win over the Marlins at Miami on August 3. Yoenis hit his first National League home run in the Mets' 3-0 victory over the Rockies on August 12 at Citi Field. Two nights later, he singled, doubled and homered in a 3-2 Mets loss to the Pirates in 10 innings at Citi Field. Cespedes singled, doubled and hit three homers for seven RBIs in a 14-9 Mets win over the Rockies at Colorado on August 21. He slugged a two-run homer in a 6-5 Mets win over the Phillies at Philadelphia on August 25. Yoenis had two singles and a home run in a 9-4 Mets victory over the Phillies on September 2 at Citi Field. He doubled twice and homered in an 8-5 Mets win over the Nationals at Washington on September 7. One night later, Cespedes hit a key three-run double in the Mets' 8-7 comeback victory over the Nats. He followed that with a tie-breaking, two-run homer in a 5-3 Mets triumph over the Nationals on September 9. Yoenis homered in a 4-3 Mets win over the Marlins at Citi Field on September 14.
