Wayne Housie

Wayne Housie was an outfielder for the Mets in 1993. He played in 18 games with the team. Housie had three hits and two runs scored as a Met.
In ’93, Housie made his Mets debut on April 9. He singled and scored a run in a 7-3 Mets defeat to the Astros in 10 innings at Shea Stadium. Wayne had a pinch-hit double in the Mets’ 5-3 loss at San Diego on May 1. He also had an RBI single and a run scored in an 8-7 Mets loss at Montreal on May 14.
On June 12, 1993, Housie was traded to the Milwaukee Brewers. He completed the ’93 season with the Brewers’ AAA-level team in New Orleans. In 1994, Wayne played for the Red Sox’ AA-level team in New Britain, Connecticut. He finished his career in 1995 with the Sonoma County Crushers of the independent Western League.
