Trot Nixon

Trot Nixon was an outfielder for the Mets in 2008. He played in 11 games with the team. Nixon had six hits for ten total bases as a Met.
Nixon spent eleven seasons with the Red Sox and Indians before joining the Mets in ’08. In his first game with the team on June 15, he had a single, a double, a stolen base and a run scored in an 8-7 Mets loss to the Rangers at Shea Stadium. Trot hit a home run in the Mets’ 7-2 win at Colorado on June 20. He also singled in a 15-6 Mets victory over the Yankees on June 27.
In 2009, Nixon retired from professional baseball. He later became radio broadcaster for high school football games.
