Tony Clark

Tony Clark was a first baseman for the Mets in 2003. He played in 125 games with the team. Clark collected 59 hits for 120 total bases as a Met.
In '03, Clark came to the Mets after eight seasons with the Tigers and Red Sox. In his first game with the team on April 6, he hit a two-run homer in an 8-5 loss to the Expos at Shea Stadium. Tony homered in the Mets' 3-2 win over the Dodgers at Shea on May 6. He drove in the winning run with a ninth-inning single for a 5-4 Mets triumph over the Phillies on May 21 at Shea. Clark had a run-scoring single in the ninth to give the Mets a 7-6 win over the Expos at Shea on July 1. He had a double, two homers and five runs batted in as the Mets defeated the Cardinals, 13-5, on August 3 at Shea. Tony also hit a home run in the Mets' 6-4 victory over the Rockies at Shea on August 17.
Clark spent the 2004 season with the Yankees. From 2005 to 2009, he played for the Diamondbacks and Padres to conclude his career.
