Tom Hall was a pitcher for the Mets in 1975 and 1976. He appeared in 39 games with the team. Hall recorded five wins, 50 strikeouts and one save as a Met.
Hall came to the Mets in a trade with the Reds early in the ’75 season. He pitched 60 and two-thirds innings over the rest of the year. At Shea Stadium on May 12, Tom retired two batters for his only Mets save in a 3-2 win over the Giants. He got his first win as a Met in a 4-3 triumph over the Astros on June 3 at Shea. Hall struck out five batters and got the win in the Mets’ 10-9 victory over the Astros at Shea on July 20. He also chalked up wins in Met victories at Chicago on July 26 and at St. Louis on July 29.
In 1976, Hall made five relief appearances for the Mets. He had a 1-1 won-lost record with the team during the season. Tom’s only Met win of ’76 came in the team’s 6-5 victory over the Braves on April 27 at Shea. He took the loss in a 2-0 Mets defeat to the Reds at Shea on May 5. Hall was dealt to the Kansas City Royals on May 7.
Over the rest of the ’76 season, Hall pitched in 31 games for the American League West Division champion Royals. He concluded his major league career with the Kansas City team in 1977.
