Terry Blocker

Terry Blocker was an outfielder for the Mets in 1985. He played in 18 games with the team. Blocker played all three outfield positions during his time with the Mets.

Blocker made his major league debut on April 11, 1985. He appeared as a pinch-runner in the Mets' 2-1 win over the Cardinals in 11 innings at Shea Stadium. Terry singled for his first major league hit and scored his first run in a 7-3 Mets victory at San Diego on June 2. In the second game of a doubleheader against the Cardinals at Shea on June 9, Blocker collided with Danny Heep and suffered an injured left knee. He never played for the Mets again.

In 1986 and 1987, Blocker played for the Mets' AAA-level Tidewater team in Norfolk, Virginia. He was traded to the Atlanta Braves after the '87 season. Terry appeared in 92 games over two seasons with the Braves. During the 1990s, he played four seasons in Mexico.
