Steve LaMar
From The Met Wiki
Steve LaMar was a broadcaster for the Mets from 1982 to 1984. He covered the team on radio during his three years in New York. LaMar was a broadcast partner of Bob Murphy.
The Mets were the first major league team for which LaMar was on the air. He announced games for the team during their rise to prominance. When Steve arrived in New York, the Mets had been a continuous basement-dweller in the National League East Division. They became a genuine pennant contender before his departure.
Lamar was a broadcaster for the Cleveland Indians from 1985 to 1989. He covered the Cincinnati Reds in their 1990 World Championship season. LaMar then spent two more seasons and a Reds broadcaster.
