Stan Jefferson

Stan Jefferson was an outfielder for the Mets in 1986. He played in 14 games with the team. Jefferson had five hits and six runs scored as a Met.
Jefferson made his major league debut in the first game of a doubleheader at Shea Stadium on September 7, 1986. He singled and scored a pair of runs in the Mets' 7-1 win over the Padres. Stan scored the final run of the Mets' 4-2 victory over the Cubs that clinched the National League East Division title on September 17 at Shea. He also hit a three-run homer in a 9-5 Mets win over the Phillies at Shea on September 20.
Following the '86 season, Jefferson was traded to the Padres in a multi-player deal. He played five more seasons in the major leagues. Stan concluded his career with the Cincinnati Reds in 1991.
