Shawn Hare was an outfielder for the Mets in 1994. He played in 22 games with the team. Hare had nine hits for 12 total bases as a Met.
In '94, Hare made his Mets debut on May 27. He singled and scored a run in the team's 10-2 victory over the Reds at Shea Stadium. Shawn doubled, tripled and scored a run in the Mets' 3-2 loss to the Rockies at Shea on May 31. He had a pair of singles in a 3-2 Mets defeat to the Phillies on June 14 at Shea. Hare had a run-scoring single in the Mets' 11-3 win at Florida on June 18. He also had an RBI single in a 5-2 Mets victory at Atlanta on June 22.
In 1995, Hare played in 18 games for the Texas Rangers. He then spent two years in the minor leagues before concluding his career with the Haitai Tigers of Korea in 1998.
