1965: The Mets defeat the Pirates, 1-0, in 12 innings at Shea Stadium. Ron Hunt's single scores Joe Christopher with the winning run.
1968: Jerry Koosman pitches a three-hitter for his 19th win of the season in a 3-1 Mets victory over the Phillies at Shea Stadium.
1969: The Mets defeat the Phillies, 2-0, to complete a three-game series sweep (all by shutout) at Philadelphia.
1970: Donn Clendenon and Wayne Garrett hit home runs in the ninth and tenth innings, respectively, to give the Mets a 6-3 win over the Cubs at Shea Stadium.
2008: The Mets lose to the Marlins, 4-2, in the last game ever at Shea Stadium. The loss eliminates the Mets from the National League Wild Card race.
