Scott Hairston is an outfielder for the Mets. He joined the team in 2011 after seven seasons in the major leagues. Hairston had played for the Diamondbacks, Padres and Athletics before coming to the Mets.

In ’11, Hairston appeared in 79 games. He had seven home runs and 24 RBIs during the year. On April 5, Scott had a run-scoring single in the Mets’ 7-1 win at Philadelphia. He singled, doubled and scored a run in a 3-0 Mets victory over the Nationals at Citi Field on May 18. Hairston hit a three-run triple in the Mets’ 16-9 win at Detroit on June 29. He had two doubles, a homer and five RBIs in an 11-2 Mets triumph over the Phillies on July 16 at Citi Field. Scott also hit a pair of home runs in a 3-2 Mets defeat at Washington on July 31.
