Satoru Komiyama

Satoru Komiyama was a pitcher for the Mets in 2002. He made 25 relief appearances for the team. Komiyama had 33 strikeouts in 43 and one-third innings pitched as a Met.
In '02, Komiyama joined the Mets after 12 seasons in his native Japan. At Arizona on May 1, he pitched a perfect ninth inning to finish off a 7-1 Mets win over the Diamondbacks. Satoru struck out three batters in three scoreless innings in a 7-3 Mets loss at Florida on June 2. He also hsd three scoreless innings with three strikeouts in the Mets' 11-3 win at Philadelphia on September 8.
After his release by the Mets after the '02 season, Komiyama returned to Japan. He pitched six years with the Chiba Lotte Marines to conclude his career.
